As the oldest of the five Machado brothers, Carlos is a pioneer of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in the United States. He has been teaching Jiu Jitsu in the U.S. since the late 1980s and along with his brothers, they have been a monumental force in making Jiu Jitsu the global phenomenon it is today.
