Reader: Graeme Miller Preacher: Peter Adam Music: Leslie Edis Over the next four weeks, Dr Peter Adam is exploring the Lord's Prayer, from Matthew 6. Today is week 4 and Peter concludes this series by focussing on verse 13 ("And do not bring us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one"). Peter teaches that God honours us with this prayer by not leading us be tempted or pur through trials that we cannot handle. He show this by referring to the Book of Job, where Job was placed under many trials by Satan, but Job never cursed God for his sufferings - God placed limits on Satan's attacks so that Job would not betray his God. God knew Job would pass the test as He says many times "Do you see my faithful servant Job?". Similarly, God will not put us into positions that we cannot handle. Red Door is an Anglican Church in Melbourne, Australia. We exist to be a community of people helping people make all of life all about Jesus.
