Manage episode 470298130 series 3194304
Monique Evans, LCSW (she/her) is a licensed clinical social worker (NY, NJ, CT), a full-time psychotherapy clinician at a major hospital, and the founder of @therapywithmo, an online private practice dedicated to helping individuals heal from toxic mother-daughter relationships. With nearly nine years of experience in the mental health field, Monique has worked extensively with individuals, families, and couples, utilizing evidence-based treatments to address anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, and relational challenges.
A graduate of New York University’s Silver School of Social Work, Monique further honed her expertise in couples and family therapy through the Ackerman Institute for the Family’s postgraduate externship. Passionate about helping people unlearn harmful patterns and develop healthier relationships, she creates a safe space for clients to navigate healing and transformation.
Beyond therapy, Monique is a dedicated mental health advocate, publishing a weekly blog and frequently speaking on panels, podcasts, and workshops. As an African American woman, she deeply values issues of race, social justice, and consciousness—both in and outside the clinical space—striving to foster meaningful conversations around these critical topics.
