Manage episode 403361301 series 3551834
Our guest today, Yvette Cole, is a kindergarten teacher, and a children’s author. Celebrating Black History Month, her book: “Harriet’s Dinner Party” is being brought to the forefront for shining a lens on some important history that has been invisible to many of us through the decades. Her frustration with not being able to show the reality and the richness of black history for North America created her first story.
Our conversation sheds a light on how we can help our youth and our community to grow and understand many aspects of history and connection.
