Im Koalitionsvertrag wurde vereinbart, das bis zum Jahr 2030 75% des deutschen Schienennetz elektrifiziert werden sollen. Aktuell sind nur 62% des deutschen Schienennetzes elektrifiziert. Bei dem aktuellen Ausbautempo ist dies nicht zu schaffen.
