Dina Browner acclaimed as the inspiration behind Nancy Botwin's character in the show "Weeds”. In 2003, Dina and a physician from San Francisco opened the first medical office to recommend cannabis in Southern California. She also helped Snoop Dogg get his first cannabis recommendation. Snoop, maybe without realizing it, returned the favor by granting her with the nickname "Dr. Dina” and becoming one of the prominent figures in cannabis.
