Could the federal government step in on the Greenbelt?
Manage episode 353999015 series 2199926
Federal Environment Minister Steven Guilbeault said that the government will be looking at potential tools to stop development of the Greenbelt. Doug Ford tells them to back off. Toronto's budget process is ongoing, and we'll see how new provincial legislation will affect the municipal bottom line. Ontario is building Canada's first small modular reactor, a miniaturized nuclear reactor. Will this solve Ontario's coming energy woes, or do we need to take this news with a grain of salt? And Steve Paikin and John Michael McGrath remember Hazel McCallion, former mayor of Mississauga.
