ទីរហោស្ថាន បញ្ហា និងភាពធូរស្បើយ (និក្ខមនំ ១៥:២២-១៧:៧)

ក្រោយពីការសង្គ្រោះដ៏អស្ចារ្យរបស់ព្រះជាម្ចាស់ចំពោះរាស្ត្រទ្រង់នៅឯសមុទ្រក្រហមរួចមក ម៉ូសេបាននាំពួកគេចេញពីសមុទ្រចូលទៅក្នុងទីរហោស្ថាន។ ទឹកដីទីរហោស្ថានជាវាលខ្សាច់ ក្តៅហើយស្ងួត គឺមានទឹកតិចតួចណាស់។

ប៉ុន្មានថ្ងៃក្រោយមក ប្រជាជនបានមកដល់កន្លែងមួយ ដែលមានឈ្មោះថា ម៉ារ៉ា ជាកន្លែងដែលពួកគេបានរកឃើញទឹក។ ប៉ុន្តែទឹកនៅទីនោះល្វីងណាស់ដែលនាំឱ្យប្រជាជននាំគ្នាត្អូញត្អែរនឹងលោកម៉ូសេ។ ព្រះក៏បានធ្វើការអស្ចារ្យឱ្យទឹកល្វីងនោះទៅជាផ្អែមអាចផឹកបាន។

ក្រោយមកទៀត ពួកគេបានមកដល់ទីរហោស្ថានស៊ីន ហើយពួកគេបានរអ៊ូរទាំនឹងព្រះម្តងទៀត។ ព្រះក៏បានប្រទានសាច់ នំម៉ាន៉ាឱ្យពួកគេបរិភោគ។

មួយរយៈក្រោយមក ជនជាតិអ៊ីស្រាអែលចាកចេញពីទីរហោស្ថានស៊ីន បន្តធ្វើដំណើរពីកន្លែងមួយទៅកន្លែងមួយនៅវាលរហោស្ថានតាមការបង្គាប់របស់ព្រះ។ នៅពេលពួកគេដំឡើងត្រសាលនៅកន្លែងមួយ ដែលមានឈ្មោះថារេផិឌីម នៅទីនោះ គ្មានទឹកឱ្យពួកគេផឹកសោះ។ ជនជាតិអ៊ីស្រាអែលបានត្អូញត្អែរប្រាប់ម៉ូសេ។ ព្រះក៏បង្គាប់ម៉ូសេឱ្យវាយបន្ទះថ្មនៅលើភ្នំហោរែប នោះទឹកបានហូរចេញពីថ្មឱ្យពួកគេបានផឹកច្រើនតាមដែលពួកគេចង់ផឹក។

Wilderness Woes and Relief (Exodus 15:22 – 17:7)

After God’s amazing rescue of His people at the Red Sea, Moses led them away from the sea and into the wilderness. The wilderness land was a desert. It was hot and dry. There was little water.

After a few days, the people came to Marah where they found water. But the water there was so bitter the people complained to Moses. God changed the bitter water into sweet, drinkable water.

Later, they arrived in the wilderness of Sin and complained to God again. God provided them the meat and bread, manna, to eat.

After a time, the Israelites moved from the Desert of Sin and continued to travel from place to place in the desert as the Lord told them. When they camped at a place called Rephidim, there was no water there. The Israelites complained to Moses. God told Moses to hit the rock at Mount Horeb and suddenly the water came out of the rock for the people to drink as much as they wanted.
