Team 7 is back baby! Well...Kinda, Sasuke has left the village to find Orochimaru. So, Shikamaru is Sasuke's replacement in this film. Also, there's an old man whose purpose is to fill in back story, but he only knows enough to press upon the importance of stopping the antagonist and not actually help. Sakura is still here, its ok, she doesn't get in the way. Naruto does his thing.
This time they're fighting against a power crazed psychopath, who is after the Legendary Stone of Gelel...or was it the mine of Gelel? It's not very clear, but they're after something. Also, Gaara is here to carry the movie on his back, but somehow doesn't end up at the final fight.
