Dr. Tameka Ellington is an Educator, Professional Development Strategist, and Personal Growth Expert and has been working with students for more than a decade.
She is CEO and Founder of First Generation Revolutionaries, an empowerment movement that enhances the lives of students and young professionals who are first generation (first in their family to attend college). Being first generation herself, she is a passionate advocate for the enrichment of first generation students and young professionals. She recently started the Ellington Foundation with the mission of supporting first gen students studying in the arts.
Dr. Tameka is author of the motivational memoir, Make Fear Your Superpower, where she discusses raw examples of how everyday fears and anxieties can become transformed into unstoppable strength. She is also author of Be the GOAT: Career Readiness Manual for First Generation Students and Young Professionals, a guide to help those who are first gen move beyond their familial barriers and into a career that they love.
She is the proud mother to three amazing boys. She has a strong connection with her Creator and believes that all she has received and will receive comes from his greatness.
