Perhaps the most critical, single question for any believer or unbeliever centers around the gospel. The entire message of Jesus Christ revolves around the centrality of the gospel. Show Notes for the first installment: ✳️What is the gospel? Matt 1:21 - She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins." Rom 1:16 - I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. 1 Cor 15:1-4 ✳️What does it mean to "obey" the gospel? 2 Thess 1:6-9 - God is just: He will pay back trouble to those who trouble you 7 and give relief to you who are troubled, and to us as well. This will happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven in blazing fire with his powerful angels. 8 He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. 9 They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the majesty of his power Rom 6:1-2 - What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? 2 By no means! We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? Rom 6:3-4 - Or don't you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4 We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. 2 Cor 3:6 - He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant- — not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
