In this episode of ‘The Live Free Experience,’ Briana Bowley chats with super welterweight state champion kickboxer, Jye Breed on his journey from motocross to kickboxing and what combat sports represents for him.

Jye ‘The Indigenous Cowboy’ Breed is one of Red Star Training Centre, South Australia’s biggest up and coming kickboxing champions.
Born in Port Lincoln, South Australia, Jye, now 24 juggles the progression of his kickboxing career with his full time job, working as a plumber.
Jye first found kickboxing when he deep in his Motocross career, as a means to improve his fitness however quickly fell in love with the sport and decided to put all of his focus into kickboxing and hasn’t looked back since.
Jye describes his fighting style as a technical and calculated brawler. He comes out hard and ferocious with speed, power and technique. Inspired by fighters like Rico Verhoven, Rob Whittaker, Alex Pereira and the Diaz Brothers, Jye aspires to be a professional fighter, believing he has the tools and is surrounded by the right people at Red Star Training Centre and through his sponsors at Delicia Port Adelaide, to make it happen.
Jye also believes that becoming a coach in the future is on the cards for him as he has so much love and passion for the sport and would love to still play his part once he’s finished his fight career.
“Nothing soft comes out of Red Star.”
