Kado Muir is an First Nations Australian artist, anthropologist and Indigenous rights activist based in Leonora WA. He is a cultural leader and senior knowledge holder of the Ngalia dialect group of Mantjiltjara language group, with traditional connection to country to the northwest of Leonora.
Kado has researched and published on Australian Aboriginal heritage and native title and is a fierce advocate for Indigenous Australian rights in land, and protection of cultural heritage and First Nations languages. Kado is Chair of the National Native Title Council, Co-Chair of the First National Heritage Protection Alliance and is a steering group member of the First Nations Clean Energy Network. He has a keen focus on responsible investment, meaningful ESG actions and First Nations equity in projects on traditional country.
Kado is also an accomplished visual artist specialising in print making and works on canvas. In promotion of traditional knowledge and cultural expression Kado explains: “we create awareness and understanding to support your learning relationship with Aboriginal art, culture and communities.”
