Alexandra Meeks is a family law and estate planning attorney with a solo practice in Clarksville, Maryland called Acorn Law, LLC. Over fifteen years of litigating, Alex has experience representing clients in custody, divorce, protective order, guardianship, adoption, and other related matters. She also crafts legacy plans for clients and has experience litigating estate matters.
At the outset of her legal career, Alex spent over a decade as an Attorney for Children at one of the busiest and best child advocacy providers in the country – the Legal Aid Society in Brooklyn, NY. From that experience, she brings unique perspective and knowledge to cases that involve minor children.
Alex is fully trained as a mediator, collaborative attorney and best interest attorney. In addition, she has completed many hours of legal education related to child development, parenting best practices, trauma-informed practice, and navigating high conflict family law matters.
A graduate of University of Maryland College Park and Cardozo School of Law, Alex lives in Columbia, Maryland with her husband, three children, two cats and a dog. She is admitted to practice in Maryland and New York.
