Today’s episode focuses on the physical side of addiction, what causes trauma, how it impacts our nervous system and our physical self and behavior. Joining me are Alyssa Vorel, Clinical Supervisor at the Ellen O’Brien Gaiser Center and Crystal a Certified Recovery Specialist at the Gaiser Center.
Alyssa Vorel is the clinical supervisor at the Ellen O’Brien Gaiser Center. Alyssa provides support to the inpatient and outpatient clinical departments on compliance and client programming needs.
Crystal is a Certified Recovery Specialist at the Gaiser Center. She has been employed with Gaiser since 2021. After 13 years of battling her own addiction, Crystal began her journey of recovery on May 26, 2018. She is a shining example of what can be achieved in sobriety.
