Yes, to Sophie's delight, we're going gritty instead of cutesy from the start with Katsuhiro Otomo's 1988 anime movie Akira. Despite the despair that occurs in this dytopian 'future', there is still beauty to be found - as Paul tries to point out to Sophie throughout the discussion. On top of that we have more 4K appreciation, anger at animated nudity, and contemplation on whether time would allow Paul to ever delve into the manga series...
