Opening Bible Verse: Proverbs 1:8-9

Our kids will use money, food and faith everyday for the rest of their lives yet, it's oftentimes not taught in our schools. Parents, it's up to us to teach our children well. No matter where you stand financially, we can teach our kids the right way to handle money. Their first big purchase is often a car so let's talk about buying that first car on today's podcast episode.

Opening Bible verse: Matthew 26:26-29 Jesus did not mince His words when He Instituted the Eucharist. He declared that this was His body, this was His blood. When we have a mound of clothing in our bedrooms, it is indecision. If you want to eliminate and declutter that mound of clothing on the floor, on the chair, on the surface, on the treadmill, ask yourself this, "Is it clean enough to wear again?" That's it. Make a decision and either hang it up to wear again or place it in the hamper to wash. ***Thursday, January 16th 8-9:30pm EST ***I will be hosting a LIVE and FREE, wardrobe declutter. Come wearing an outfit you feel good in along with a bag for donations. I am going to teach you how to build upon that one outfit to create a wardrobe that fits, flatters and makes you feel fabulous. Opening Bible passage: Mark 1:9-11 When Jesus became man He came with a very clear mission. To save us from our sins. When debt, clutter and busy lives leave us feeling like there isn't any room to dream big or focus on creating the lives we want, something has to change. In today's podcast episode I talk about three areas of life that clutter up our lives and make our mission very unclear. Let's begin to clear up the clutter of our lives so we can hear what God is saying and so we have the ability to say, "yes" to what He is calling us to do. ****TOP 2.5% GLOBALLY-RANKED PODCAST**** Opening Bible verse: Luke 2:6-7 Nearly 90% of Americans say the holidays come with some increase in stress levels. As moms, I believe we are the ones feeling the bulk of this stress. The pressure we put on ourselves to make sure everyone is happy, everything is perfect, that we create magical memories with our kids and we capture everything to ensure it is Instagram worthy. At this time of year we often hear, "The first Christmas was simple, let's keep this Christmas simple." Was the first Christmas really that simple? In today's podcast episode I talk about how that first Christmas was probably a little stressful for Our Blessed Mother. Yet, there is much for us to learn from this Bible passage about what she teaches us at this stressful time of year. Tune in to hear how you can relieve the pressure of the holidays with decluttering this one thing. In today's podcast episode, I challenge you to ask a different question. Instead of, "God, why does life have to be hard?" ask, "what is the seed you need to germinate in me, God?" Opening Bible verse: Isaiah 66:1-2 God is always calling us to humble ourselves and that's why I thought this Bible passage was a great choice for this episode. When it comes to running our homes efficiently, sometimes we need to humble ourselves. Sometimes we don't have the answer, sometimes the answer has to come from outside our home. That's how this episode came together today. This past summer I worked on decluttering and organizing my whole house and added an extra Monday episode to track my journey. Until...paper. Did you notice how I went radio silent when it was time to talk about paper in my own home? I was stuck. I finally figured out a system that is working for me but I couldn't figure out how to articulate the reason for my success. After chatting with my bestie this week, she gave me the lightbulb moment I needed. She told me in order to breakthrough any task, we had to discover the hangup. That's it! That was the verbiage I needed to hear! What I discovered this summer was I had a few hangups with a good paper system. Once I found my hangup, I was able to breakthrough and find my solution. In today's podcast episode I share my hangup with you and share how I was finally able to breakthrough to a system of paper that is working for me. I mention another episode about how I use a simple black binder to organize the running of my home. You can listen to that episode here: Episode 41, Organize School Papers To join the private Facebook group for Pruning To Prosper: Facebook Group To connect for guest appearances or in-person decluttering in the Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania, email me at: tightshipmama@gmail.com…
