Police investigate East Coventry senior living center where elderly man shot his wife then turned gun on himself

Police in Chester County are investigating a shooting at a senior living center in East Coventry. It happened just before 11am at Manatawny Manor. According to initial reports, a man in his 80s was visiting his wife, a resident of the home, also in her 80s. The man allegedly shot his wife, and then turned the gun on himself. The conditions of the two people are not immediately known -- but the coroner in on the scene. The Chester County district attorney’s office is supporting the investigation and expects to provide an update later this afternoon.
