Discovery Groups (DGs) are an excellent tool for evangelistic growth. DGs are small, application-focused Bible discussions that can be led by anyone, regardless of maturity level. We emphasize commitment over maturity as a requirement for leading a DG. The format of a DG involves "Look Back" (reflecting on the previous week's action steps), "Look Up" (reading and discussing a Bible passage), and "Look Ahead" (setting personal action steps for the coming week). The episode also provides practical tips for leading a DG, including sticking to one passage, facilitating rather than teaching, and letting the Bible be the teacher. The ultimate goal of DGs is to multiply disciples through obedience to Scripture.
