A podcast by speaker, author and communication whiz, Tom "Commakazi" Keefe. Topics are varied as the experiences and interests of the show host. The Japanese word Kamikaze is usually translated as “divine wind” (kami is the word for “god”, “spirit”, or “divinity”, and kaze for “wind”). The word “kamikaze” was used to describe major typhoons in 1274 and 1281 that scattered Mongolian invasion fleets—and, of course, centuries later, certain Japanese World War II pilots were tagged with this descriptive name. Tom came up with the moniker “CommaKazi” in the early 1990s. The “comma” portion made sense because he was a writer, and the play on the word, “KamiKaze” fit his self-image of a fearless, passionate individual ready to “risk it all,” if necessary, for a justifiable cause. As his colleagues will attest, Tom has the ability to make a persuasive case for communication excellence, while maintaining the dignity and engagement of management and employees. That can be a difficult line to walk. He is available to consult with you on whatever communication challenge or opportunity you're facing. Email: commakazi@commakazi.com
