Experience Defeat, But Don’t Be Defeated

I need anyone and everyone here reading or listening to this who is going through something right now to take these words to heart.
I won’t try to tell her story, but I will reshare some of my own.
I was a high flying student who had serious setbacks when I wasn’t able to master algebra, trigonometry, or calculus the first time I took them.
I was a young entrepreneur who bet everything I could put my hands on a pizza place. Sales were trending up but I ran out of money before I could get to profitability.
I got married and found myself separated from my then wife in less than a year, divorced in less than two.
These were defeats. But I wasn’t defeated. I obtained my degrees. I have my dream job. I’ve been happily married to an extraordinary woman for nearly 30 years now.
Defeat happens. Don’t be defeated. Get up. Learn something. Keep going.
