19: Cindy Sheahan - Adventures of a Flashpacker
Manage episode 358406260 series 3459151
Cindy was not content and knowing full well that life is short, she left her unhappy marriage of 32 years, quit her perfectly good job, packed a backpack and headed out the door. Since the end of 2017 she’s been traveling full time, staying in hostels, housesitting in Australia and Seattle, doing work exchange at a vineyard in New Zealand, an orphanage in Nepal, and a 15th century villa in Tuscany. Along the way Cindy has met lots of amazing and interesting people, saw incredible places she’d only dreamt of…and met a French paraglider in Nepal while on Tinder. They travel together part of the time, occasionally she’ll meet a friend, but other than that it’s solo travel for her. For the past two summers she did van life in an old VW Eurovan, logging nearly 25,000 miles and traveling coast to coast in the US. Her next chapter is residency in Portugal and having the time of her life.
