ACEP Critical Decisions in Emergency Medicine

In this month’s episode of Critical Decisions in Emergency Medicine Danya and Wendy dive into Observation Medicine and Vaccination-Preventable Illnesses. In the first lesson, “Observation Deck” they discuss the criteria for the obs patient, where the patient should go for observation, and just how long the patient should expect to be under observation. The second lesson, “Warning Shots”, takes a look at the recent increase in vaccine-preventable illnesses and why clinicians need to dust off their understanding of these potentially dangerous diseases and be prepared to treat patients who present with them.
