Do you truly know Africa? Do you know where some of the world’s most creative and talented black people come from? In this episode dedicated to the power of black history, Ms. ABA and Donny Addison reflect on the celebration of black history month, how these celebrations fall on different months in USA and UK, the role of colonisation, and how important it is to educate on black history and racism, following the appalling and heart-breaking o death of George Floyd and prior. Highlighted is Kofi Kayiga, the first Ghanaian-British black museum owner, presenting artifacts on American black history and achievements. In recent times, there has been support from legal authorities to archeologists and anthropologists for the return of exhibits to home countries as they do not belong to the western world. Information can easily be lost in translation or manipulated and this brings hope to restore and recover Africa. Tap into this episode to hear the discussion, learn more about Africa and countries that were colonised.
