This is An Atheist Reads the Bible, where I dive into the "good book," one chapter at a time. My name’s Kevin, and I’m an ex-Christian in the Bible Belt.

I’ve read the Bible before, but only as a believer. Now, I’m going back through it as an atheist, and I’ve got questions.
From talking snakes and magical floods to plagues of frogs, someone surviving in a fish for three days, and, of course, a whole lot of smiting and loving the smell of burnt flesh... What’s up with that?

Whether you grew up in church, left it behind, or you’re just curious about the Bible from a different angle, join me as I walk through the text with open questions, some skepticism, and plenty of 'Wait… is that really what it says?' moments.
