From a small town in Kentucky to riding the top slot on the Billboard Smooth Jazz Top Airplay Chart twice, Michael J. Thomas is reaching goals and setting new ones daily as an indie jazz musician. In this episode, Troy and Michael discuss his parents' love for music, especially R&B, funk and pop. Michael Jackson, Teena Marie, Stevie Wonder and Earth Wind & Fire were staples in their home. Michael tells a funny story about a childhood performance he did to the Kool and the Gang classic "Jungle Boogie" in the family living room. Hilarious!
