- Welcome! Our school year started and It’s hooooometowns!
- Question: The episode begins in NOLA! What is your must have food item from NOLA?
- Two minute recap: Gabby and Jason go to NOLA. He introduces Gabby to his dad who is adorable and weepy and I love him. Then he meets more of his family and they love Gabby. Then Jason drops that he can’t see himself getting engaged. The memes are coming from him. Normal? Honest? Dude, do you know what show you are on? Side note: I love how his parents are like, get engaged and later on we get, well, the opposite. Next up is Rachel and Zach in Anaheim. All this plane stuff: yo, it is so weird to me that there all these work themes dates. Its like when you dream about working. No. This is a date, I’m not clocking in. Zach’s family is a little more reserved about the Bachelorette process and asked some pointed questions. Then they watch videos of Zach and Rachel making out. Weird right? Next in line is Gabby and Jonny in Palm Beach. Y’all I’ve lived in all these placesJonny’s family is pretty; they have a white couch- which I apparently think makes you rich. They like Gabby. And, of course, Jonny isn’t ready for a proposal either. His dad says, go for it. Poor Gabby gets I’m not ready for a proposal and people are declaring their love for Nicole. What gives?. So Gabby and Johnny makeout on a sunset cruise. Wasn’t he just living on a cruise ship? Next, Rachel and Tyler head to Wildwood, NJ. I’ve never lived here. Fun side note, they haven’t had a one-on-one yet. Tyler is hyped. He is playful. A kid on the raddest playground. But Rachel is “it is getting serious.” Tyler says he is in love. Rachel is like, whoah dawg I’m not sure i want to meet your family. Tyler has to tell his family on camera that he got dumped. Dang. These producers work hard. After that we need something happy, right? So here comes Gabby and Erich off to visit his terminal ill father. As an ICU nurse, Gabby handled things well but dang that is a big thing to walk into. Erich tells Gabby he is falling in love with her. Finally. Confession, his name is spelled stupid and so is his hair but I find him attractive. Hate me. The final hometown is Rachel and Tino. It should be perfect given their connection right? Nope his family is not on board with this. Yiikes. Rachel is obs upset. Can it work now with her beloved Tino!
- Concept 1: Do you think you would be a “support whatever decision you make” parent or a “this is big and this show is weird, run!” parent? Does the approach family’s take matter?
- Concept 2: What to do when someone says “I love you” and you just ain’t there.
- Concept 3: Whoa did you see that preview? No Gabby. What are your predictions?
- Host 2 wildcard topic: What is the appropriate amount of time to wait until getting engaged?
- Average length between 2-3 years
- Engagement 12-18 months
- 5ish years total meeting to marriage
