Bayer HortCast Episode 4 is hosted by Craig White - Market Development Agronomist at Bayer Australia. This is a special episode about Bayer Biologics, with Dr Denise Manker from Bayer Biologics headquarters in West Sacramento, California, U.S.A. Denise and Craig discuss Bayer Biologics, how these are made, how to use them effectively in an IPM program and importantly the benefits over other biologics available in the marketplace. Denise explains the advantages of Bacillus amyloliquefaciens strain QST 713 over other Bacillus spp. as well as formulation advantages which deliver very useful outcomes for fruit and vegetable growers. Serenade® Prime is a unique, organically certified (ACO and OMRI), product for Australian growers with properties as both a soil ameliorant and biofungicide. When used as a biological fungicide, the biological compounds arrest spore development of disease, and boost plants’ natural defences. As a soil ameliorant, the beneficial bacteria in Serenade Prime boosts root growth and nutrient uptake. www.serenadeprime.com Serenade Opti is a Group 44 biofungicide that controls or suppresses a range of diseases in crops including grapevines, strawberries, avocados and tropical fruits (excluding bananas), plus tomatoes, capsicums and chillies. It has no withholding period, is soft on most beneficial species and is organically certified (ACO and OMRI), making it a highly versatile option for Australian growers. www.serenadeopti.com.au Connect with the Bayer Crop Science Team on Twitter: Bayer Crop Science Australia @Bayer4CropsAU Craig White (WA) @photobycw Users of products must read the label attached to the product before use.
