Welcome to Betfair Trading Overreactions! Premier League Week 7

In this podcast I will go through my Betfair Trading Overreactions from the most recent Premier League gameweek and my guest will decide if they are overreactions or reality.

Let’s go!

Number 1:

After watching the statuesque defending from Wolves at the weekend, Wolves should start preparing for life in the Championship…They are going down!

  • 6/4 relegation odds
  • Wolves have Man City next, then Brighton away look like being bottom come the end of the month.
  • Hard to get confidence when bottom, even though schedule opens up a bit

Number 2:

Whilst Man City & Arsenal bicker about styles of play, they are missing the real thread this year…Liverpool are quietly getting the job done on the sly. Liverpool are going to win the title!

  • 4/1 odds
  • I feel Arteta will find a way to throw it away
  • I feel Man City’s defence is much weaker than usual

Number 3:

Kai Havertz has turned into a great signing for Arsenal, he is a dark horse to win Player of the Year!

  • 25/1 player of the season odds
  • Scores a lot of crucial goals
  • Comeback player of the calendar year!

Number 4:

Everton will probably do enough to survive…again. However, it would be good for football if they were relegated!

  • 9/4 relegation odds
  • I’m bored of Everton, always the same story around the relegation zone, and do enough to stay up.
  • Whether they spend or not makes no difference.

Number 5:

I was watching the Villa v United game, as Man U again seemed happy to try and play for a point. One thought kept popping into my head…United should do all they can to get Unai Emery and give him an open cheque book.

  • 40/1 odds
  • Villa look like such an accomplished side
  • Thought they might struggle with Europe as a distraction but have adjusted fantastically

Future Reaction

It’s an international break, so I am going a bit left field with this one. I think next week we will be saying Kane is not the future for England. It is time to move on to younger players!

We will be back after the international with another one next week.
