The month of May is Asian-American Pacific Islander month, but for those of us who might not see ourselves in these adjectives, I thought we could expand the description to TCA month - Third Culture Asian month!
So, for Third Culture Asian month, I’d like to share with you 3 back-to-back episodes that together frame the topic of the healing of intercultural and intergenerational conflict in the global asian diaspora community.
In the last of this 3-part series, we’re speaking with Dr. Julian Xue to explore the complexity of the arrival space for Asian immigrants in the West. We’ll hear his take on what happens at the intersection between a Confucian, Asian experience of reality, and one informed by Western theories of mind, and what this means for the treatment of mental health difficulties.
