By looking at what the Thessalonians turned from and then to, Jeremy is providing an example for us to follow. We all turned away from some false ideas when we believed in God. For the Thessalonians this turning caused trouble in their daily life, but it also brought a great hope for their future, a hope that apparently was very impactful and caused them to live faithfully.
