A new study shows diabetes drugs like Mounjaro and Ozempic, which people also take to lose weight, may help patients suffering from addiction. CBS News contributor Dr. Celine Gounder explains.

Officials in Texas rejected a request for clemency in a controversial case Wednesday. Robert Roberson would be the first person in the U.S. to be put to death for a murder linked to shaken baby syndrome. Some experts say his conviction was based on faulty, outdated scientific evidence.

Congresswoman Jennifer Wexton of Virginia, who is retiring after this term, was diagnosed with progressive supranuclear palsy. There is no cure for her condition, which has rapidly robbed her of her mobility, balance and most recently her speech. She's using her rare diagnosis and AI to help make change during her final months in office.

Founded by Roz Keith in 2015, the nonprofit "Stand with Trans" is hosting a month of programming for Trans Empowerment Month, including support groups, educational panels, and workshops. With LGBTQ+ rights under threat in many states, the organization aims to provide critical support for trans and non-binary individuals and their families.

Fire Country is back, with Max Thieriot reprising his role as Bode, a convict working as a firefighter in his Northern California hometown.

After her breakout role as Princess Jasmine, Naomi Scott stars in Smile 2, hailed as the best horror film of the year. Scott discusses the challenges of portraying pop star Skye Riley, handling the film's intense scenes, and how she brought the character's voice to life.
