We talk about the process of crafting such an intimate, imaginative telling of their early journey, from their love of The Little Mermaid and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as a child to their experiences with racism (both external and internal) during their adolescent years and navigating their multiple intersecting identities in between it all. Meet Sarah
Sarah is a comic artist, writer, and colorist from White Hall, MD, best known for their graphic novel Monstrous A Transracial Adoption Story and their work as an artist on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Saturday Morning Adventures comic series. They have attended anime and comic conventions since 1999 and love to cosplay, lift weights, and cook.
