Couture in french translates to sewing or dressmaking, however this one little word has taken on a life of its own. An entire billion dollar industry has been built around it, giving a measurement to garments that are not only part of our past, but also what future generations will look to define where we are now. And one generational staple in the couture world was a movie, The Devil Wears Prada.
