Join me every week day as I explore how seemingly unrelated words share a common ancestor through etymology: the study of the origin of words. I used to think the most interesting thing about mankind was our ability to communicate by language. But truthfully, that isn't all that unique to our species. What is unique however is our ability to write language down. Since we've been able to write, our languages can be standardized across vast distances. But even so, the written word has evolved over time. Which is pretty neat! I pick two words that share a common root, research their relationship, and explore this relationship with you in a simple and engaging way!
