Leading LGBTQ+ affirming congregations comes with a set of unique challenges that many people don't consider. There are certainly overlaps with leading any group of Christians; but people in the LGBTQ+ community come with their own particular set of experiences, hurts, and traumas associated with their previous experiences with the Church and/or with Christians, making this work especially delicate.
Join me as I discuss this revealing topic with Bishop Keith McQueen, who has been leading multiple congregations and other pastors for over a decade. This is a much-needed topic in an area of critical ministry that is often overlooked and unappreciated.
