Overview: While the aerosol in e-cigarettes does contain toxicants and carcinogens, since it is not burned like combustible tobacco cigarettes, vaping exposes the user to fewer toxicants and chemicals. Many consider using e-cigarettes for smoking cessation, but evidence has been conflicting.
