Michael Bergson started working in his dad's barbers in Govan as a kid at the weekends, before moving on to bar work. Eventually, he opened his first bar and launched Bucks Bar on Trongate in Glasgow.

Learn more about Bucks Bar - https://bucksbar.co.uk/

During the lockdowns of 2020 and 2021, Michael became outspoken online about what he saw as a lack of logic and consistency in the rules and guidelines that applied to the hospitality industry. We discuss what he perceives as a groundshift from those days, where most people opposed him, to today, where he feels many are now in agreement.

We chat about the process of creating a vibe and an atmosphere for a new bar, and some of the struggles and challenges he faced with Bucks Bar in particular. And he talks about the Bucks Bar sponsorship of Open Goal Broomhill FC, plus much, much more.
