A special Quinquagenarian message

Thank you for calling GIH where we instigate growth one call at a time where we utilize antiquated technology to deliver 3-minute leadership lessons every week day! This is message #197 and I am Aaron Havens.

What makes today so special? And if it’s so special how will we remember it? What mnemonic devices will remind you, cause you to pause, encourage you to celebrate.

Here are a few examples from history.

Ebenezer Stones: The concept of raising an "Ebenezer" has been embraced in Christian tradition as a metaphor for acknowledging God's past help and trusting in His continued guidance.

Cairns: These are human-made piles of stones used worldwide as trail markers, burial monuments, or memorials. In some cultures, cairns serve as memorials for the deceased or to mark significant locations

I turned 50 today! Yay! For me today the word Quinquagenarian is my marker.

This word originates from the Latin "quinquāgēnārius," meaning “fifty"

This word marks the years from 50-59… which in many ways I believe will be some fantastic years in my life. I’m more pumped than ever. I’m exited to hit 100/2. What others cry a tear over… I’m pumped for. How about you? In fact I’m so pumped for it, I’m starting decadecoaching.com, a new coaching arm that focuses on decade coaching. I want to help others jump up and down with joy when they turn 30, 40, 50, not morn and fret filled with regret!

So my friends. What ever age you find yourself today. Raise your glass and toast me and others around you. We’ve done it. We’re doing it. Let’s be a people that celebrate and don’t forget these milestones in our lives!
