Welcome to this weeks episode of Heavy Metal History. My guests were guitarist and vocalist of the band Rank and Vile, Theo Spence and Matt Oein. Theo and Matt came on the podcast to discuss their histories of how they got into the genre as well as the political nature of the band and trying to utilize the lyrical content for a prescient message. We talk a little bit about politics and horror film influences on the band as well as on their album “Redistribution of Flesh” which is a Death-Grind bludgeoning to your ears. Since this is the bands new full length, of course we talked all about how they wrote and recorded the record and even talked about how insanely stacked the PNW (Pacific North West) Metal scene truly is. “Redistribution of Flesh” comes out October 18th
