Äänikirja. Heikki Meriläisen (1847–1939) Pietolan tytöt julkaistiin vuonna 1892. Teos on ilmetty muunnelma Aleksis Kiven Seitsemästä veljeksestä. Yhdeksän sitkeää sisarusta joutuvat Jukolan veljesten tapaan painimaan kovien vastusten kanssa. Romaanin kuluessa monet omavaraisen kaskitalouden työt tulevat seikkaperäisesti kuvatuiksi. Niukoista oloista ponnistanut Heikki Meriläinen tunsi omakohtaisesti kuvaamansa todellisuuden. Yle Radio 1:ssä vv. 2015-2016 lähetetty luentasarja on julkaistu nyt Yle Areenassa uudelleen, luku kerrallaan. Lukijana on Erja Manto. Tuotanto: Radioteatteri.
