Ryan Danker joins the show to talk about The Next Methodism project, a movement among traditional Methodist scholars to bring their best thinking to the Church. Scholars met in Washington, DC, in January to craft a series of documents focusing on the next Methodism and many contributed to a book edited by Ryan and by Ken Collins titled The Next Methodism: Theological, Social, and Missional Foundations for Global Methodism, which is published by Seedbed. In this episode we discuss some of the key theological commitments for the new Methodism, we remember the legacy of Billy Abraham, and we review some of the highlights of the book and project.
