Michael Putz war 15 Jahre lang Leiter der Westfälischen Reit- und Fahrschule und damit Nachfolger von Paul Stecken, der ihn auch wesentlich geprägt hat. Er ist Mitautor der Richtlinien für Reiten und Fahren und ein steter Mahner in der Wüste. Im vergangenen Jahr ließ er sich von der Richterliste streichen.
