Hi. I am Gladys Agwai, Founder and CEO of Ignite Within. I worked in various executive leadership roles within IBM, the #1 global technology company, for over 30 years. I’ve work across regions (US, Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya), cross-industries, functions, and cultures. Why is this important to you? Reflect on how many people and situations take your focus – significant other, children, parents, bosses, co-workers, siblings, and friends. We work, take care of household, may also have a side business or going to school. We allow our needs to be pushed aside or buried and we don’t feel good about it which impacts how we see ourselves if we see ourselves at all. We invest our time and money into everything and everybody around us but not ourselves. Why is that? Do we feel we are not worthy, not good enough, not capable of, or powerless. To most effectively take care of others we must take care of ourselves first. We decide that we are most important and it’s alright to invest in what is most important – YOU. Because of all that we have going on in our lives, we need focus and direction – coaching. We pour so much out of ourselves giving to others. We must replenish – participating in masterminds and workshops will give you the nourishment required to excel in what you want to do. We must renew to avoid stagnation and to stay relevant.
