The reason you launch them higher, is not because of the performance, generally, the performance degrades, because the physics is such that the further we away from the Earth, that you know, the lower the signal, the less resolution your cameras have all that stuff.

So they just kind of float like paper, because they've got a very high ballistic coefficient, but, you know, rocks and chunks of metals tend to survive.
