BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH OF MINISTER CORNELL Shawn GREGG of Baltimore. MD
Minister Cornell C. Gregg, was born on September 18, 1973 in Baltimore, Maryland to, Cornell P. Gregg and the late Karen M. Hawkins. Minister Gregg was educated in the Baltimore City Public School system. In June 1991 he received his high School diploma from the Northwestern Sr. High School. It was in August of that same year that he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where, he served for 3 years. After leaving the Marine Corps in 1994 he gained employment at the United States Postal service where, he is currently employed. It was in July 1996 that a fellow employee Deacon Audie Roundtree, invited Min. Gregg to a “Men’s fellowship cookout” given by, the New Antioch Baptist Church of Randallstown where today, Min. Gregg is an active member. It was at this “cookout” where he met the founder and current Pastor of the church, Pastor Kenneth L. Barney Sr. who also witnessed and led Min. Gregg ”back” to the Lord Jesus Christ. Over the next 19 years, then known as Bro. Gregg, he would serve on several ministries. It was in 2008 while serving in the active U.S. Army that, Min. Gregg received confirmation from the Lord that he was to “preach” the gospel of Jesus Christ. It was during this time that Min. Gregg understood that he must seek more “biblical” and “scriptural” education. In 2010, Min. Gregg received an Associates of Theology degree from Covenant Bible Seminary located in Tacoma, Washington. Min. Gregg is an active participant on several ministries which include, The Street Evangelistic Team (New Antioch Baptist Church), Nursing Home Ministry (New Antioch Baptist Church), Men’s Prison Ministry (New Antioch Baptist Church) and the “ NO CROSS, NO CROWN” STREET MINISTRY TEAM ( Baltimore, Maryland). Minister Gregg believes that God has commissioned him to “eradicate” (remove) scriptural “ignorance” in the church as well as, bringing back the understanding and function of all spiritual gifts. Min. Gregg’s favorite bible verse is, JOHN 3:17 “For GOD sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved”. Min. Gregg is the proud father of 3 children and the grandfather of one grandchild.
