作为视觉动物,人类的很多活动和行为都非常依赖眼睛,眼睛为大脑提供了大量的信息,甚至在很多感知觉上,出现了视觉主导的现象。同时,眼睛也是非常脆弱的器官,会出现各种各样的病变,有的病变甚至会造成失明。2010年世界卫生组织公布的数据表明,全球有近3亿人有视觉障碍,有近四千万的盲人。为了让患者恢复视力,提高生活质量,研究者们提出了各类解决方案。比如,部分盲人可以通过植入人工视网膜,依靠仿生眼重获光明。目前,已经有人工视网膜产品通过了美国和欧盟的卫生部门批准,进入临床应用。

仿生眼(人工视网膜)到底是怎么工作的呢?它能让盲人看到什么呢?它离普通人还有多远呢?今天我们就来聊一聊视觉重塑和人工视网膜。
