The Journey summer school has led to some amazing teams. One of them, 'Unwanted but delicious' is presenting their innovative idea to us today. The group, which consists of Stefan Gevaert from Belgium, Lasse Koefoed Sudergaard from Denmark and Lisa Jagau from Germany, aims to change consumer behaviour and mindset in the fashion industry. By transforming a van into a 'repair mobile' they want to go to schools, community events and fairs and repair people's clothes for free. By doing so they aim to tackle the overconsumption crisis, which is a hot topic within the sustainability debate these days (right in between Black Friday and Christmas). To reduce the negative impact of clothing on society and the environment, factory-runoffs greenhouse gas emissions must be decreased and working conditions improved. Tune in to hear more about how 'Unwanted but Delicious' plans to take into account many aspects of the system and how to make alternatives to fast fashion more fun and accessible to everyone. You will also get to know more about the three and their personal stories how they got inspired to take action. We promise, it's not gonna be boring, don't miss out on it!
