Hey wutzup my father keeps telling me about this job as an EKG Technician, where there is no schooling, you do nothing, and earn an insane amount of money.

Being very skeptical I decided to look into it and discovered some interesting things I wanted to share.

The coolest thing about this job or career is the schooling is very affordable and very short courses. You don't have to go into debt spending Years in college, before you get paid. I really think some colleges are just gangsters.

One course costs $500 dollars and takes 4 weeks to complete. Even better you can do it online and you get this certificate that is recognized.

You can actually get a job EVEN without the certificate. Some hospitals can hire you while you're studying to get it and this "might" be the best approach because you're almost guaranteed a job. You just want a return on your investment right?

According to ZipRecruiter, the pay range is between $24,000 to $77,000 a year. A lot of things probably determine that pay such as location, experience other certificates you hold, and how bad they need you, but that isn't bad.

What does a EKG Tech do? You basically hook someone up to a machine, in fact, you don't even read the machine, the doctor does that.

Most EKG Techs do work 40-hour work weeks and can work evenings, holidays, and weekends, but it depends on the needs of your employer. Most of them work in hospitals, but some travel to see people who can't walk or live in a nursing homes.

If this sounds interesting I wrote a blog post that goes into more detail on what the job is, what it's like to do the job, and most importantly some ideas on getting your foot in the door.
