At the core of Courtney Coyle’s repertoire of therapeutic styles and techniques is humanistic psychology, an approach that emphasizes viewing the individual as a whole and complete person. She believes that each one of us has the potential to live a happy, meaningful life, full of purpose, creativity, and self-expression.
Courtney works with her clients to establish their needs and the most appropriate approach from which to address them. These approaches include methods such as EFST, mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, and solution-focused therapy.
Courtney received her education from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Master’s in Social Work. She believes that we all have the capacity to live happier and healthier lives, but because of past trauma or current circumstances, we lose sight of our own strengths and uniqueness. Exploring how a person’s thoughts or beliefs impact their feelings and behaviors is a critical aspect of making changes. In many cases, uncomfortable feelings and maladaptive behaviors are a result of negative beliefs, and reframing those negative beliefs, whether they are newly formed or decades old, is a skill that can be learned and applied to any aspect of your life.
The career choices that Courtney has made over the years stem from her deep understanding and compassion for that which makes us human. There is not just one path to wellness. Courtney wants to help you discover yours.
Focused on premium care, Courtney offers individual (adult and child), couples, and Family therapy.
